A weekend away. A home improvement project. Your regular coffee order. If you can buy a gift card for less than its spending value, you might save on something you were going to buy anyway.

But a discount isn’t automatically a deal. An extra checkout, restrictions, and a leftover balance all take something out of the equation. This is a simple place to check the math and decide if it’s worth it.

“Don’t bother” belongs here, too.

Our starting guide calls 10% or more a great deal, 5% to under 10% worth considering, 2% to under 5% “meh,” and anything under 2% “don’t bother.” The amount you spend and the terms of the offer matter alongside the percentage.

No breathless countdowns. No pretending every discount is amazing. Just a useful answer before you pay.

Our starting catalog uses public provider listings. Prices are research snapshots, not live inventory or reserved stock. We show when each source was captured and last reviewed. Listings older than seven days, expired promotions, and unverified or unavailable offers are excluded from rankings and calculators. A refresh requires a new check and site update. A simple site. No account.

This site has no accounts, payment collection, browser analytics scripts, advertising pixels, session recording, or tracking cookies. Brand filtering happens in your browser. Fonts and brand artwork are served with the website.

Search text appears in the URL when you search from the homepage, so it may appear in browser history and CloudFront access logs. Those logs record ordinary request metadata—including IP address, time, requested path and query string, response status, referrer, user agent, and bytes served—for aggregate traffic measurement, troubleshooting, and abuse detection. Cookie logging is disabled. Raw logs are encrypted in a private S3 bucket and deleted after 90 days. Please don’t enter personal information in search.

If you use the contact form, we send the name, email address, topic, and message you provide to our business inbox through AWS Lambda and SNS. The notification also includes ordinary request metadata—IP address, country code, and user agent—to help diagnose abuse. We retain the resulting correspondence as needed to respond and operate the site. Please don’t send gift card numbers, payment details, account credentials, or financial documents.
